Deena
Burke

Deena Burke - REPDeena has performed with The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, The Pacific Theatre Ensemble in L.A., The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Tacoma Actor's Guild, and The Group Theatre, A Contemporary Theatre and The Intiman in Seattle. Most recently Deena was in Death of a Salesman directed by Ethan McSweeny at The Chautauqua Theatre Company and performed the role of narrator in A Soldier's Tale with The Delaware Symphony Orchestra. Deena's voice has been heard on numerous radio ads and in video games. Since 2004 she has been a member of the PTTP faculty, teaching voice and speech. Deena is a graduate of The Julliard School.

Mark
Corkins

Mark Corkins - REPMark is thrilled to be part of the inauguration of the REP/PTTP. He is a graduate of the third PTTP group; the class of 1987. As a result of contacts made in the program Mark has had the opportunity to travel and perform extensively abroad. Closer to home Mark has been a member of the Milwaukee Repertory Theaters resident company for the past 10 seasons. Favorite roles there include: Lee (True West), Owen (The Foreigner), Hamm (Endgame), and the title roles in Dracula and King Lear. Mark has also spent 12 summers in Spring Green, Wisconsin at American Players Theatre. A few favorite roles: The Mayor (The Government Inspector), Holefernes (Loves Labours Lost), Crampton (You Never Can Tell), John Worthing (The Importance of Being Earnest), and Mark Antony (Antony and Cleopatra). Regional theatres Mr. Corkins has worked with less frequently include Milwaukee Shakespeare Company, Stage West, Next Act, Madison Repertory Theater, and The Utah Shakespearean Festival. Mark's other interests include teaching, bodywork, and film.

Michael
Gotch

Michael Gotch - REPMichael most recently performed in the one-person Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play I Am My Own Wife at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater. Previously Michael performed in the Milwaukee Rep's Armadale. Off-Broadway credits include the U.S. Premiere of Sjvek (Theatre for a New Audience), Richard III, Murder By Poe (The Acting Company), Mercadet (Culture Project). His regional credits include: Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest (South Coast Repertory); Salieri in Amadeus (Actors' Theatre of Louisville); Jeff Nomination and After Dark Award for Chicago Premiere of Shakespeare's R&J (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre); Julius Caesar, Much Ado About Nothing, Timon of Athens, The Merchant of Venice (American Players Theatre); The Taming of the Shrew, Richard II (Milwaukee Shakespeare) and Henry V (Delaware Theatre Company). Michael is a 2003 graduate of the PTTP.

Heflin

Elizabeth Heflin - REPThe REP is pleased to announce that regional theatre actress, Elizabeth Heflin, joins the company this September. Elizabeth comes to us from the famed Alley Theatre in Houston where she has been a leading actress in the Alley resident acting company for 12 seasons, playing a wide variety of roles including leading parts in Mrs. Warren's Profession, Cyrano de Bergerac, Othello, Arsenic and Old Lace, Doubt, Death on the Nile, Subject to Fits, Much Ado About Nothing, Wait Until Dark, Witness for the Prosecution, Orson's Shadow, The Underpants, The Crucible, Dial 'M' for Murder, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Life X 3, Twelfth Night, The Foreigner, Hamlet, House and Garden, A Midsummer Night's Dream, A Flea in Her Ear, The Beauty Queen of Leenane, The Greeks, and The Goat or Who is Sylvia? among others. She recently appeared in Bad Dates at Milwaukee Repertory Theatre. She also has performed on Broadway in The Government Inspector and toured with Tony Randall and Jack Klugman in The Odd Couple. Other regional theatre credits include Kate in The Taming of the Shrew at The Old Globe, The Dinner Party at The Papermill Playhouse, The Play's the Thing at Actors Theatre of Louisville, Macbeth at Westerly Shakespeare Festival, Dancing At Lughnasa at the Dallas Theatre Center, Much Ado About Nothing at The Pioneer Theatre, and Mothers at The Crossroads Theatre. Her television credits are Michael Hayes, New York News, The Pretender, The Renegade, As The World Turns, Guiding Light and Days of Our Lives. Elizabeth graduated from the Professional Theatre Training Program in 1992.

Cameron
Knight

Cameron Knight - REPMost recently Cameron was a company member at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival where he appeared as Cory in August Wilson's Fences and the world premiere of Welcome Home, Jenny Sutter (which was subsequently performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.) Last fall he appeared in Milwaukee Repertory Theater's Cyrano De Bergerac. Immediately after graduation from the PTTP Cameron was an actor with the Texas Shakespeare Festival where he played the title role in Othello, Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing, and Von Strack in Amadeus. At the Michigan Shakespeare Festival he has played Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Laertes in Hamlet, and Hortensio in The Taming of the Shrew. Mr. Knight received a Wilde Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Canewell in August Wilson's Seven Guitars at Plowshares Theater Company. Additionally, he has played leading roles at Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Lexington Music & Theater Company, Boars Head Theatre, Meadowbrook Theater, and Stages Repertory Theater. Cameron has also appeared in several commercials and the documentary Prayer in America which aired on PBS. Cameron is a 2007 graduate of the PTTP.

Matarrese

Mic Matarrese - REPMic has appeared as Talthybius in Trojan Women at Renaissance Theatreworks, Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Henry in the The Fantasticks at Skylight Opera, Raskolnikov in Crime and Punishment at the Chamber Theater, Antonio in Twelfth Night at the Utah Shakespeare Festival, and Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire at Artists Repertory Theater in Portland, Oregon. PTTP audiences may remember his performances as Vanya in Uncle Vanya, Andrew Undershaft in Major Barbara, Guildenstern in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, and the title role in Tartuffe. Mic is a 2007 graduate of the PTTP.

Carine
Montbertrand

Carine Montbertrand - REPLast season Carine played Emilia in Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's production of Othello ("Acclaim Award" for Supporting Performance) as well Radish in the premiere of Bob Berky's The Fourth Nail. She also did her first clown show with The Glass Contraption in NYC. Off-Broadway credits include The Flying Machine's Frankenstein at Soho Rep and two seasons with The Acting Company (Lady Macbeth, Margaret in Richard III). Also in New York: La MaMa E.T.C., FringeNYC, and extensive work with The Young Playwrights Festival as both an actor and teaching artist. Regional: Actors Theatre of Louisville, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Pioneer Theatre Co, Capital Rep, Clarence Brown, TheatreVirginia, Riverside Theatre (FL), Hangar Theatre, Utah Shakespearean Festival, Milwaukee Rep, The Independent Shakespeare Co. (LA) She has narrated nearly fifty audiobooks, mostly for Recorded Books Productions (recipient of AudioFile's "Earphones Award" and the American Library Association's "Notable Recording" and "Selected Audio"). Many of her recordings are available at the Newark Free Library. Television work includes a failed seduction of Holden on As The World Turns. Additional studies: the Conservatoire National in Paris and a BA from Tufts University. Carine is a 1999 graduate of the PTTP.

Pelinski

Stephen Pelinski - REPAs an actor with the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis from 1988-2008, Stephen has over forty roles to his credit including Private Lives (Elyot), Three Sisters (Vershinin), Iphegenai at Aulis (Agamemnon), The Cherry Orchard (Lopakhin), The Seagull (Trigorin), Sideman (Al), Much Ado About Nothing (Benedick), A Doll's House (Torvald), and A Midsummer Night's Dream (Bottom, Theseus/Oberon). Off Broadway he was seen as Macduff in Macbeth. He played Richard III (Richard) at the Tony Award winning Intiman Theatre, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Brick) and Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Valmont) Seattle Repertory Theatre, Uncle Vanya (Astrov) at the Geffen Playhouse, and Hamlet (Laertes) at Hartford Stage. At Baltimore's Center Stage A Flea In Her Ear, Henry IV, I and Execution of Justice. Virginia Stage Company: Tom in A Glass Menagerie and Ferdinand in The Tempest. His international credits include work with the International Classic Theatre in Greece and Cyprus where he played Creon in Antigone. In Canada he performed at the Citadel in Edmonton and The National Theater in Ottawa as Cassio in Othello. In Nova Scotia he played Henry Higgins in Pygmalion at the Atlantic Theatre Festival. Film: Sweet Land, Wooly Boys, Factotum (France), Irv de Toilette, and Killer Movie. Stephen has been the recipient of several awards and fellowships. In 2001 he received a Minnesota State Arts Board Fellowship, in 2000 a McKnight Fellowship and in 1998 Fox Fellow Award. Stephen is a 1984 graduate of the PTTP.

Kathleen
Pirkl Tague

Kathleen Pirkl Tague - REPKathleen was a member of the acting company at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival for 12 seasons where she played Portia, Kate, Viola, Hermione, Lady Macbeth, Tamora, Helena, Gertrude, Emila, Mistress Ford, Adrianna, and many others, including the title role in Major Barbara and Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest. Other regional credits include the title role in Anna Christie at San Jose Rep, Tamora in Titus Andronicus at the Intiman Theatre (Seattle), Judith Bliss in Hay Fever at Great Lakes Theatre, Illona Szabo in The Play's the Thing at American Players Theatre, Our Country's Good at Madison Rep, and War Stories From the 20th Century at Milwaukee Rep. Locally: Julia in A Delicate Balance, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth and Kate in Taming of the Shrew at The Delaware Theatre Co. as well as major roles at The Wilma Theatre, The Walnut Street Theatre Studio, The Arden Theatre Co., and at Freedom Repertory Theatre. Kathleen began her professional career in New York City with The Edge Theatre and as a member of the Broadway touring company of Biloxi Blues. Kathleen is a 1992 graduate of the PTTP.

Steve
Tague

Steve Tague - REPAfter nearly twenty-five years of work as a professional actor, Steve has played most of the great Shakespearean roles, many of them more than once. Those roles include: Hamlet, Macbeth, King Lear, Iago, Richard III, Titus Andronicus, Prospero, Benedick, Malvolio, Leontes, Shylock, Jacques, and Bottom. He was most recently seen as a member of the Ensemble for Henry V at the Delaware Theatre Company, as Cyrano de Bergerac for the opening of the Roselle Center for the Arts here on the campus of UD and as Tartuffe at the Great Lakes Theater Festival. Steve has worked at theaters from Philadelphia to Seattle including: The Arden Theatre Company, The Walnut Street Theatre, The Intiman, Seattle Repertory Theatre, A Contemporary Theatre, Great Lakes Theater Festival, Sierra Repertory Theatre, The Idaho Shakespeare Festival and Baltimore's Center Stage. His recent directing credits include Major Barbara and Henry V for the Idaho Shakespeare Festival and the Complete Works of Shakespeare for the Delaware Theatre Company. He has been on the faculty of the Professional Theatre Training Program at The University of Delaware since 1992. For the PTTP he has directed Juno and the Paycock, The Doctor's Dilemma, Major Barbara and Mrs. Warren's Profession, co-directing Arms and the Man with Deena Burke. With his wife Kathleen Pirkl Tague he has performed Dear Liar and Love Letters for UD audiences. Steve is a 1984 graduate of the PTTP.
